Commercial buildings

Commercial buildings are basically divided into:

  • Buildings with a similar use as residential buildings, e.g. retirement and nursing homes, hospitals, office and practice buildings, Buildings with a commercial use, e.g. production, warehouse, workshops etc.

They all have in common that there are different areas / zones that have different requirements. Commercial buildings are therefore accounted for a multi-zone model.

In terms of technology, a distinction is made between what belongs to the building (lighting, heating, air conditioning / ventilation) and what belongs to production and the company (IT, compressed air, air conditioning / ventilation).

There are also different approaches to profitability. Measures that pay off well in residential buildings are absolutely uneconomical in trade and vice versa.
