PV in residential buildings

In residential buildings, electricity is generated during the day and consumed in the evening / night / morning. Storage or an energy account is essential here.

Tenant electricity or electricity for a WEG is a much discussed matter. To implement relatively well in new buildings, there is always the issue of billing for existing buildings. But there are options here too.

The new thing is to feed in the electricity you do not use yourself and have it credited to you. The electricity fed into the grid is then returned in the same amount. This means that you almost always generate your entire annual electricity requirement yourself. You are billed at the end of the year. If you have fed in more than you have consumed, the excess electricity will be offset against the valid rate. Conversely, you have to pay when you have used more.

PV in industry

The world looks a little different in industry. The electricity is generated and used during the day. In a company without shift work, self-consumption of 70% is quite possible. In companies with shift work or 6 days of operation, higher self-consumption is also possible.

You can also use PV to generate heat and cold for production.

As always, it is important here to design the PV system correctly. Bigger is not always better.
